At first this work will characterize the german economy from historical and economic point of view. Second the position of Germany in Europian union will be described. Finaly the german labour market will be highligted including the influence of the EU on it. The goal of this work is to point out the currant situation on the german labour market, its specific aspects and the real effect of the reforming steps carried out during the last five years.
